VitaSync vs How We Feel
Name the feeling, then see what moves with it
How We Feel is a free app from a non-profit, created with Yale’s Center for Emotional Intelligence. It helps you put a precise word to how you feel and spot patterns alongside your sleep and exercise. It also offers short strategies when a feeling is hard.
VitaSync is less about emotions and more about the rest of your day. Mood, energy and stress are quick scores. They sit next to sleep, training, food and spending, so you can see which of those move together.

The beta column is what testers get first, on Android. The 1.0 column is our plan for the public launch, so it can change. Planned means it is on the roadmap but not in that release. We checked How We Feel’s side against its own website on 17 September 2026. Apps change, so check theirs for the latest.
Why you might switch
Once you can name a feeling, the next question is why this week felt worse than last. Part of the answer may sit in sleep, training, food or spending. VitaSync keeps the check-in short and puts those in the same place.
Where How We Feel is still the better pick
For understanding and working through emotions, How We Feel is the better tool, and it is free. VitaSync scores mood rather than naming emotions, and it has no strategies or exercises. If emotional skills are your goal, start there. You can always use both.
Questions
Is VitaSync a mental health app?

The beta is free. At launch there will be a free plan and an optional paid plan, with a discount for waitlist members.
When can I use VitaSync?
